Your Success Checklist

July 25th, 2008

WORD COUNT: 680 Short … Yet Energizing Words

TIME to GROW: * About 2 1/2 MINUTES  *

Are you making steady progress toward your most important goals and dreams?

Whether you’re a solo entrepreneur or a Fortune 100 executive, the basic principles of success are the same. The only real difference between the goals of a big corporation, smaller  business or an individual, is the number of resources that can be directed toward the attainment of your objective.

That being said, would you like to hear something that may surprise you? Just because a larger organization has more resources, doesn’t necessarily increase the probability of a successful outcome.

In fact the opposite is often true, because the number of moving parts is also greater. Large doesn’t mean that everything runs smoothly, because the real daily processes are often undocumented and misunderstood. In addition, larger entities typically have many implied practices and beliefs that are hidden from plain site. This can make goal attainment, change and breakthroughs far more complex.

Larger businesses typically have bigger infrastructures with more expenses, existing customers, entrenched habits and longer time to market.

So often small and solo business owners underestimate the advantages of being “smaller”. The  benefits are many, including greater agility, faster time to market, and problems, if  encountered, can be identified and resolved faster in a smaller organization.

So the ability to innovate, seize opportunities, embrace change and manage risks and expenses is often far easier in a small business.

The key is to recognize, appreciate and leverage your strengths to accomplish more of the right things.

During my 25+ years working with businesses, I’ve been blessed with countess opportunities to help others accomplish their goals, solve complex problems and to get teams aligned with successful outcomes. So, I feel confident saying that you can accomplish anything, when you believe you can, and commit to right action.

If you want to ensure steady progress, more ease and greater joy on your journey, use this goal attainment checklist to help you align with your greatest goals and dreams.
