Your Grand Tour

TIME to DELIGHT: * About 1 1/2 MINUTE *
Someone once said to me, I wish I could go to sleep, and wake up and everything would be perfect.
I understand the desire for more ease, especially if you’ve been struggling to make something happen. It wears you down, doesn’t it?
Yet craving more enjoyment, peace or relaxation is just a signal. It’s your internal guidance system telling you that it’s time for a rest, and maybe a little reminder. Perhaps it’s time to recall the purpose of the journey.
Do you honestly believe that you would choose for happiness, accomplishment, or affluence to be hard? Do you think that you must struggle to succeed? Is perfect, without the opportunity to express your unique gifts, what you truly want?
The answer for most of us is no, unless we really do want life to be hard, or unfulfilling.
For attainment of anything envisioned, need not be difficult. It’s easy to start believing that we have to fix everything, or push harder to achieve our goals. For that opinion is certainly prevalent in our culture, isn’t it?
But the point of the journey is to enjoy it, and how can we have fun with all that pushing and straining going on? How can we grow or know excitement, if everything was just instantly here for us?
It is the sense of wonder, the fun, and the sheer enjoyment of the expedition that we desire. We only need to relax into our adventure to experience more joy at work and play. Allow it to come, expect it and stop pushing.
Because after all, if we slept through life, what would be the point? So make enjoying the journey your greatest priority. For when your highest goal is to revel in the unfolding of your unique tour of the universe, that is when you’ve truly arrived.
