Yesterday we talked about mighty goals and the fear factor.
If you find yourself standing at the edge of a dream, not certain if you should take the leap, ask yourself this one question.
Why am I inspired to do this?
Discover the deeper purpose behind your desire, the power of “why”. That underlying purpose is a tremendous source of energy and confidence that can propel you past fear and self-doubt.
For when we tap into the power of purpose, the illusion of limitations are seen for what they truly are… simply distractions left over from a perspective that no longer serves us.
As we focus on the deeper meaning behind the goal, those distractions lose their power over us. We see momentary discomfort as insignificant, when compared to the underlying purpose that inspires us to take that leap.
Core Purpose
When we look beyond a goal or dream, we realize that our spirit is nudging us forward to fulfill an inner need. That core purpose may be a desire to help others, to feel appreciated, and to recognize that we do make a difference, each in our unique way. For it is the need to be feel a sense of purpose that drives most human behavior, and it’s very powerful!
So although we’re united by a core purpose, each one of us will experience it differently, based on our unique perspectives, ideas and talents. We are driven to fully express that which we are through our desires.
When you really commit to that big dream, instead of just putting one toe in the water, you will see your individual skills in an entirely new light. You may discover latent gifts that have been waiting patiently for a chance to be expressed. That commitment allows miracles to happen.
So if you ever feel uncertain, discouraged or fearful, try the power of why!
