There are so many tools and resources to help you live more of the life you envision … and align with all of the success you desire.

If you’re feeling stuck, it may be time to shake things up a bit. If your weather has been rainy and dreary, like it has been in Virginia Beach recently, you might find it’s difficult to see the positive, expect the best and to appreciate the beauty that is already yours.

One of my favorite tools, which I don’t use nearly enough, is music.

The power that lies in music is this. It is sound, the resonance that we respond to, that can change how we feel and therefore our point of vibration and what we can attract.

Have you ever noticed the soundtrack as you’re watching a movie? The power is in the way it elicits our emotions. The peppy tempo to bring forth happiness, the heavy, slow drums to warn us of impending danger, and the rising crescendo to lift our spirits and inspire us to go beyond what we might think is possible.

Do you remember the themes to Chariots of Fire, Rocky and Rudy? The music opens your heart to “yes, I can do this”. Now imagine those movies without the music. The story is the same, but it would be missing that emotional element that speaks to us on a very deep level.

You can use the same idea to align with whatever you need at any time. For example, I have play lists set up in my iPod for this very reason. If you don’t have an MP3 player, you can still do the same thing by creating CD’s to listen to in your car, or a music library on your computer to help you whistle while you work.

Plug in a favorite CD or create a mix from your favorite collections. Some of my Play lists include: “Inspire Me” for when I need a pick me up … “Concentration” to focus … “Imagine” to get my creative juices flowing and … “Relax” to unwind.
