Right Planning: Going Beyond the Wish & Living the Dream

May 2nd, 2008

WORD COUNT: 568 Brief … Yet Powerful Words

TIME to EXPAND: * 2  MINUTES *

You create with ease and grace when you align your actions with your dreams.

When your actions are on target with your personal success statement, you experience more joy and feel 100% alive … because you’re feeding your spirit, as well as your bottom line.

When you honor the dreamer and the doer, you can be, do or create absolutely anything you imagine!

If you resist planning, consider the words of Eleanor Roosevelt when she said, “It takes as much energy to wish as it does to plan!”

So if you want to go beyond the wish and live the dream, reconsider your position on planning. For it doesn’t have to be complex to be effective, and with Right Planning, simpler is often better.

Let’s explore the basics of Right Planning!

- It ensures Right Action. You eliminate unnecessary detours and stay on a path that moves you toward your desired destination.

- Because Right Planning is aligned with your “Unique Definition of Success”, you accomplish more of the right things and enjoy more of your journey!

- It’s simply part of the creative process.

- Right Planning helps you take the best route possible, because you honor your individual strengths and resources.

- It’s about checking – is this goal aligned with my Personal Success Statement?  Is this idea worth pursuing or will it take me off course? Is it a distraction or is it aligned with the lifestyle and business I really want to create?

- Once you’ve answered the question – should I do this … you’re ready to move on to the next part of the Right Planning process. This is where you tap your inner wisdom with questions such as -
what is the best route given my current responsibilities, resources and priorities?

- As you tap you inner wisdom, the “doing”  become less work and more play. The key lies in asking yourself the right questions. Once you do, your mind begins searching for the best answers.

- Some good “Right Planning” questions to consider are: How can I build on what I already have? Who can help me? What resources are best suited here – mine or someone else’s time, energy, money or expertise? What type of energy is needed? What is the simplest and or most joy-filled approach for me, right now, given my personal talents and resources?

- Right Planning is iterative. So it’s always evolving with your current information and experiences.

- Right Planning is not rigid. You stay open to opportunities that naturally appear as you venture forward. It’s about being open to the magic of the universe!

- Right Planning is about breaking activities into smaller, digestible chunks. This is how you build momentum and confidence.

Above all, Right Planning is about you catching up with the expanded version of YOU! So make it fun and believe in your dreams!
