Right Action: 10 Choices to Break Free of Your Comfort Zone

February 1st, 2008

WORD COUNT:  426 Tiny …  but oh so Powerful Words

TIME to PROSPER: * Less than 2 MINUTES*

We cannot grow or expand if we stay in our comfort zones. Nothing of significance can happen if we’re in neutral, repeating the same thing over and over again.

So to move beyond your concept of what’s possible, to realize your greatest hopes, dreams and goals, requires you to become okay with feeling uncomfortable at times.

Here are 10 Choices You Can Make Now to Break Free of Your Comfort Zone:

1. Know What You’re Really Hungry For.This is your purpose and passion. It’s the fuel that feeds the fire to keep you
going when faced with life’s little challenges.

2. Choose to Be Confident. Believing in yourself is something you can cultivate and grow. If you think you can, you
will, if you don’t… you won’t.

3. Be Willing to Sacrifice. Don’t buy into the “something for nothing” myth. Yes, life doesn’t have to be as hard as we often
make it … but anything worthwhile requires effort.

5. Release the Tendency to Hang onto Emotional Baggage.
This is the stuff that weighs you down, like stewing over someone who cut you off in traffic … hours after the event. It consumes
your precious energy and diverts your attention away from what you really want.

6. Claim Your Power in the Present. Pay attention to your life right now. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is but an illusion.
Your power lies in the present moment. It’s what makes you 100% Alive and able to make mindful decisions, that are aligned
with your “unique definition of success”.

7. Don’t Mistake Activity for Accomplishment. Know what’s truly important, then do it, and don’t allow yourself to be diverted
from your true north by misaligned activity. Choose right action and don’t be hypnotized by “busyness” that doesn’t move you in the
direction of your highest ideals.

8.  Consciously Manage Your Energy.  Stay in the drivers seat on your journey. Honor both the dreamer and the doer, but
choose that which will best serve you in each moment. For the Heart + Head = 1.

9.  Know That Success is More about Who You Are, Than What You Do. You are infinite potential. Your thoughts are the mold by which you become who you want to be. It’s how you manifest what you want to have or do. Choose thoughts that are aligned with your truest and highest vision of Self.

10.  Enjoy The Journey!  Give yourself time to celebrate, rest and relax.

Dare to go beyond your comfort zone and you will know far more than success… you will know significance!
