If you want to build wealth, you must see yourself as someone who receives and saves, as well as one who spends.

But think about the typical response to incoming cash flow. Whether we’re managing personal funds, or business receivables, our focus tends to be on what’s needed to cover expenses.

Most people pay bills first, and only when there are funds left, do they consider investing. Yet if our actions are expressions of what we  believe, then this habit is worth reviewing.

In order to build financial, emotional, or spiritual wealth, we need to align our thought habits with what we want to expand.

In other words, pay attention to growing that consciousness, and that means paying ourselves. For example, if we want to experience more happiness, we need to pay ourselves first in whatever way allows us to be happier. If we want to grow in spiritual awareness, we pay ourselves first with the practices that allow us to be fully present. And if we want to expand our financial resources, we need to make a deposit into our wealth building account first, in thought and deed.

For centuries, religious leaders have taught tithing as a means of building prosperity consciousness. And there’s certainly validity to that practice. Yet that only works if the person tithing believes it will work, and if it’s done from genuine desire. In other words, there’s a big difference in giving because we expect something in return, versus giving because we genuinely want to help or support the recipient. For we receive what we intend, not what we want.

As we play with what it means to live an abundant life, we soon realize that there’s much to be learned about authentic prosperity. It requires that we embrace life, know what we want at a soul level, and then allowing ourselves to have it.

And we disallow abundance when we are overly focused on the opposite end of the equation, or what we don’t yet have.

So if you want to expand your financial well being, let’s take a look at where you’re predominately focused.

–> After reading each question, circle the side of the equation that  reflects how you’re most likely to respond. This isn’t about what  you think you should be doing, but what you’re currently doing. 

 This is a very powerful exercise, because it allows you to  recognize how your current thought habits are creating your reality.

And with that understanding comes power! When you know where you’re likely to go, it’s no longer an automatic response!

Now you  can choose in the moment, whether to follow that thought, or choose a better one. And this is much easier than you think, when  you decide that you can do this! This gets better too!

You can have fun with this as you delight in the growing confidence and prosperity that will naturally unfold. Are your ready?  Okay, let’s go then!

 Ask yourself: on a typical day, where am I predominately focused?

1) Wondering how the next wave of bills will be paid -or- imagining all of the ways in which money can expand in my experience?

2) Am I thinking more about what I can give -or- what I want to receive? (Both are important! Many people over give, and struggle with receiving. This constricts growth.)

3) Am I more interested in selling my services -or- being of service?

4) Am I begrudgingly doing what has to be done -or- allowing myself to enjoy the journey?

5) Am I stuck in what I’m doing wrong -or- enthusiastically focusing on how to improve my skills or offering?

6) Am I embracing the news of economic doom and gloom -or- claiming  responsibility for creating my own financial headlines?

7) Am I predominately feeling fear and anxiety -or- am I mostly hopeful and maybe even approaching all-out confidence?

Am I feeling like I’m going it alone -or- am I trusting in a higher power to bring me the people and resources I need to succeed?

9) Am I continuously second guessing myself -or- am I remaining focused on the desired outcome, knowing that I am divinely guided?

10) Am I apprehensive as I write checks out to others -or-  am I thankful that I have the means and resources to pay them?

11) Am I anticipating struggle, hardship and mediocre results -or- am I expecting the best as I begin new projects and ventures?

12) Am I mainly focused on what’s not here yet, -or- am I actively looking for people, events and things to appreciate?

What did you discover?  Are you predominately choosing prosperity-building thought habits, or repelling what you truly want?

Before you begin thinking you need to be focused on the affirmative every single moment of ever single day, relax. That’s not going to be possible in this environment, period! So there’s no need to sweat that bullet! All you have to do is tip the scale a bit. Start with 51% and then go from there. And it’s not every single thought we think that matters, it’s the general direction we’re heading. Are you heading toward or away from what you really want?

When you embrace the true power of paying yourself first with affirmative mental magnets, you get in the flow with who you truly are, a conscious creator! And you realize that any unwanted stuff in front of you … is really not a big deal! Because, you can  change it, anytime, anyplace and anywhere. You have the power and the ability!

Here’s an affirmation to take with you. Play with it, tweak it if you like. Allow the  words to lift you to where you want to be!

“Today I walk in peace and confidence, knowing that I am divinely guided, knowing that I am immersed in a vast ocean of resources and good fortune. I see myself joyfully receiving all of the abundance in my life now! And so it is!”

Life’s sweet, isn’t it?

In this time of harvesting what we’ve planted, may you receive the bounty of your making, and so much more!

In this season of celebration, may you commemorate the joy and abundance that is now yours!

For there is so much to be grateful for!

Even though we may occasionally experience events that try our patience, or test our strength, know this.

We only receive these opportunities when we are ready for them.

Life’s challenges are opportunities, because they are the stuff from which we grow…and discover our soul centered desires.. and our true power!

And they only come when we are ready, because it can be no other way.

For we are not capable of attuning to an idea, desired experience, or challenge, unless we have the ability to receive the object of our desires, and the tools to grow from life’s interesting curves.

So walk today in confidence, knowing that you are fully capable, extraordinarily wise, and loved more than words can say!

TIME to PLAY: * Less than 5 Minutes! *

Many years ago I read that “life was a lot like a game”. I have to admit, that concept didn’t sit well with me, at that particular point in my life. For I was knee-deep in over  responsibility. Now I can look back and see how that perspective could have helped me
lighten up a bit sooner!

Maybe you can relate to this as well? There was an aspect within my consciousness that thought the game concept trivialized life. But what’s “real life”?

Is real life only what we see and feel, or is the material realm merely an illusion, like some philosophies contend? Yet if everything is spiritual, both the stuff we see, and don’t see has meaning, and is real!

Let’s go back to the game concept. How do you win a game? You learn the rules and play! And in the Game called Life, we have opportunities to play and learn, in every moment.

The key to enjoying and succeeding in the game, rests in never losing site that we’re much more than five sensory beings. We are eternal explorer-adventurers playing in the sandbox of time and space!

The aspect of ourselves that knows and sees from a higher, broader perspective is always with us. All we have to do, is intend to see through the eyes of the Higher Self. It is then that the seemingly trivial events, and circumstances take on a deeper meaning. When we see with our spiritual eyes, we truly understand that everything happening externally… is a reflection of what’s going on within us internally, or energetically!

We’re always creating with our thoughts, even when we forget that! And in life,  someone else doesn’t have to lose, in order for you to win!

Here’s a perfect illustration of the power of thought within the context of the game of life. It came up this past weekend, and I know my Guides were smiling with me, as it unfolded. I was being reminded to take a more playful approach on an upcoming venture!

I was playing a board game with some friends. The rules bestowed great power to anyone who drew a ten. This particular card allowed you to split a ten to move you, and anyone else on the board, a total of ten spaces, forward or backward. So needless to say, it made the game very interesting as people could put you (or you could put others) into precarious positions. This was especially useful if a player on another team was getting close to winning the game!

I have to admit I’m not a big fan of the Wild Card 10 Rule, because who wants to be at the mercy of someone else’s “luck of the draw”? But, is it merely luck?

Interestingly in the first game, after two hours of play, and drawing too many cards to count from the draw pile, I received only one ten. In case you’re interested in the odds of that happening, let’s just say it’s highly, highly, did I say highly… unlikely.

In the first game we used the Wild Card 10 rule. As we were starting the second game, we decided to forgo the Wild Card Rule in the interest of time. So in the second game, a ten was just a ten, no funny moves!

As we started the second game I mentioned to a friend; “now watch this game, I’ll have a handful of tens”. As I looked at my hand of five cards, I had to laugh. I was holding four tens! Interesting, isn’t it? And with each draw, more often then not, I’d draw another ten!

Considering  there were only eight tens in a pile of 104 cards, and five other players were also drawing cards, the probability of this happening … is even more highly, highly, did I say highly, unlikely than the scenario in the first game! Something was up and I knew at once that my Guides were smiling with me.

Okay I created this… I get it! At any moment, we are either pushing something away, or letting it in! We all get that on the conceptual level. But it’s not so easy to remember it every minute of every day. In the first game, I had decided I didn’t like playing with the tens. Add guess what, I repelled the tens! No surprise there, as anything that is likened to itself… is drawn!

Then in the second game I was focused on the tens, and guess what? Even though I no longer wanted them, I was focusing on them and not needing them, and so, I had a handful of tens! I have to laugh, because it’s a truly funny, and powerful lesson.

How many times do we do this in our own lives without conscious intent? For what we focused upon does expand in our experience. Yet if we attach a strong need to having it, we hold ourselves apart from what we want. For the vibration of need resonates with lack.

And as I thought about this game, I also realized that if we could see our daily choices with more playfulness, it would be a lot easier to shift our perspectives, and therefore the cards we draw!

A lighter, yet mindful approach, enables more fun, as we shift our game playing strategies with greater ease and mastery! Also an occasional wild card, does make the game more interesting, don’t you think?

It’s a lot easier to see how our intentions are determining what we receive, when we have a playful attitude. And as we consider our choices from the perspective of our Higher Spiritual Self, we can shift our attention and intention with the joy of a conscious creator
at play!

So how will you play your game today? What cards do you want in your hand? What route will you take on the board? What partners will you play with, and what will you learn?

When we’re creating plans, making lists and taking action, we can forget that our choices are not “a means to an end”. Certainly we take steps to align with a goal, or enliven a dream. Yet these acts are so much more than a way to attain, or experience material reality.

Our actions are a means of: creative expression, experiencing joy, having fun, and learning about ourselves and learning about life!

Are you building your dreams with visions, ideas, partnerships and discoveries you find personally fulfilling… or are you getting lost in the mechanics of getting it done?

To live life fully, we must be ever mindful that we don’t get lost in a list of details.

For the plans we create, and the steps we take, are not “Have Tos” and “Shoulds”. How we choose to focus our energy is the way in which we water the seeds of our dreams!

So, what seeds will you water today?

Make you’re dream enthusiastically actionable. And see it done with joy and divine perfection…as you learn and play in the sandbox of time and space!

TIME to CREATE ANEW: * A Tad More than 1 MINUTE! *

It’s day 30 of “The Great Experiment”! You might recall the 30 day challenge of suspending disbelief, and then committing 8 to 10 minutes every morning to visualize, write, or imagine that you are living your goal with ease and grace.

This challenge was all about telling a more empowering story and seeing things as you’d like them to be. This experiment was about recognizing what you love about your life as it is now, and then adding what you want to enhance or change. Because let’s face it… the stuff that we don’t want, can certainly take a lot of our energy and attention, if we allow it!

And if we believe that what we focus upon expands in our experience, then doesn’t it also stand to reason that when we focus on what we truly want, we’ll naturally change the  outcome?

When we commit to focusing on what we want, more than what we don’t want, we reclaim our personal power. This is when we grow beyond our current concept of what’s possible, and shed the perceptions that keep us entrenched in thinking and doing the same thing, yet expecting different results!

Your current circumstances are merely one of many possibilities you could have created. And you can change anything… when you  decide to spend a little bit of time each day thinking about your experiences… as you want them to be!

When you change the image, you change the outcome! You begin creating a different reality … one that activates latent strengths, and attracts all the resources and events you want to experience!

And when you understand the nature of focus and probabilities, you don’t need to pretend to ignore your present situation. You can simply refocus your attention and create something else! Sweet isn’t it?

TIME to Activate Your Inner Authority: * Less than 2 MINUTES! *

If your journey isn’t unfolding as you’d like, consider where you are holding yourself apart from what you want to expand in your experience.

Name it and claim it.

If you have a tendency to procrastinate, recognize how that habit is hindering your ability to receive what you desire.

If you have a tendency to over-schedule and multi-task, see how that inclination may be creating unnecessary stress in your life.

If you’re struggling to align the dreamer and the doer, yet resist planning, consider how your  perspectives might be keeping you from moving forward with more ease and grace.

If you have a habit of thinking counterproductive thoughts, recognize how that is shaping your current reality.

Whatever our habits, we can not change what we do not recognize.  But name it and claim it without going into self-judgment. Feel empowered for  recognizing what you can change right now in this moment!

So rather than procrastinate, take a step forward today.

Instead of over-scheduling or multi-tasking, give yourself time to relax, and instead of dismissing right planning, see your desired outcome, and then break that down into small, yet powerful and enjoyable steps.

And as a substitute for overly critical thinking, embrace solutions, imagine positive outcomes, and love yourself and your life!

There are so many wonderful scenarios that you can create by simply claiming what you want to change, and then allowing yourself to do so. And, you know that there are no limits to what you can be or do! For you are an eternal explorer and a masterful creator! And I for one am delighted to be standing in your presence!

So what habit or tendency will you transmute today? Name it, claim it, and change it!

I’m going to ask you a very important question, one that may initially feel uncomfortable. Yet if you work through your initial reaction, you’ll discover the power and purpose of this
liberating query. And in answering this prophetic question, you’ll receive the greatest reward imaginable. So take a deep breath, and read the following question, paying attention to how you feel.

What do you Love about Yourself?

What aspects of yourself do you most appreciate? This question is very powerful, because as you answer it, you’re able to connect with unconditional self-love. Is there a greater gift
that you could give yourself?

Yet isn’t funny, that so many divine beings feel uneasy about such a simple and self-defining question? We could dwell on the reasons why denying our own  greatness is so  prevalent in our social consciousness. But the causes aren’t that important.

What does matter is whether or not, you’ll allow yourself to answer this question, and celebrate the True You.

If you contemplate this query every day, you’ll grow in love and appreciation for your precious individuality. And when that grows, so does your respect and sanctity for all life. Imagine the difference in the relationships between people and nations…if we were taught and encouraged to hold ourselves in high esteem? There’d be no reason for defensiveness, because there’s be no feelings of superiority or inferiority.

Practice answering this question daily, while driving, walking, taking a shower, or in between appointments… and you’ll quickly shed any self-deprecating thoughts.

For how can we truly love and value others, if we do not love and value ourselves?

Living life fully and without fear begins in unconditional self-love. And as we grow in kindness and appreciation toward ourselves, we’re able to share that unconditional  appreciation for others as well.

So, what do you love about yourself right now, at this moment in time? Find ten or more aspects that you fully appreciate and enjoy! Reach for the stars and don’t be afraid to celebrate your life! Then tomorrow come up with ten more and so on.

Stand boldly in your love of self and others. I know it takes courage, but remember who you are … the wise, the divine one, the lionhearted!

I know that I am living in a universe of infinite supply, and am open and ready to receive all of the abundance in my life now.

And so it is that I feel joy, reveling in the ever-expanding gifts that surround me, each and every day. I give thanks now for the miracles of unconditional freedom, creativity, and love.  And so it is!

Our spiritual ideal is always unfolding and making itself known. We discover this higher guidance by staying in touch with how we feel.

And so clarity and purpose unfold as well! Like peeling the layers of an onion, we learn more about who we truly are… each and every day.

Your vision of Divine Self, is the mighty force within you that draws you forward, to experience more pleasure in life, greater joy, and divine wisdom. This is what drives you to embrace your sacred nature, and your ever-expanding potential!

How would you describe your Spiritual Ideal, or vision of your Higher Self? This is your sacred role model. It serves as a compass and an inner guide. It lifts you up into realms that words can not adequately describe.

From the perspective of the Divine Self, the word “perfection” has none of the five-sensory meanings that cause us to judge ourselves as good or bad. And so, there are no feelings of guilt, shame or self-inflicted judgments. Instead, we realize our spiritual perfection, and mastery of “going with the flow”. So from the perspective of the Higher Self, we’re able to learn and grow with ease and grace.

Know that all is well…for it is! And you are far more advanced than your chronological years may indicate. For you are a very wise and powerful, eternal soul! I’m just reminding you, that’s all.

Enjoy the Peace and Divine Clarity that are yours now!
