Go Ahead, Ask

WORD COUNT: 197 Short, Yet Appreciative Words
TIME to CONNECT: * Less than 1 MINUTE *
If you’d like help, just ask. Trust people to say no if they’re unable to say yes.
And if someone says no, it’s not a reflection on you. For the answer is always a product of the other person’s current schedule, commitments and state of consciousness.
Most people like to help others, because it feels good to do so. Have you met anyone who didn’t want to feel needed? When we ask someone for help, we’reĀ communicating trust and respect, and we’re also giving someone an opportunity to satisfy the basic human desire… to feel needed and appreciated.
Yet we often resist asking for help. Perhaps we don’t want to impose, step on another’s toes, or don’t want to feel inadequate.
But everyone needs a little help every now and then. And what a pleasure it is to connect in such a meaningful way, as we lend a shoulder, or an ear, or a perspective that’s just what another needs to hear!
Let it be known that it’s a gift to ask for help, for it’s the gateway to love, purpose and appreciation!
