Go Ahead, Admit It!

August 25th, 2009

buzWORD COUNT:  352  Short, Yet Invaluable Words

TIME to Believe:  * How about 5 Minutes?  *

When you admit what you really want to yourself, you significantly increase the likelihood that you’ll get it!

I’m not saying that there won’t be effort involved, because anything worthwhile requires effort. But here’s what usually happens after we get inspired with a  new idea. We compromise on our dreams, because we allow the inner critic to talk us into staying in our comfort zone, or we listen to the internal dialogue  about why something can’t possibly work. We talk ourselves out of moving forward, because we think about the work involved, instead of how much we’ve already accomplished. We ponder the issues instead of the solutions, or stay stuck in “I’ve been down this road before”.

But your past doesn’t predict your future, unless you let it! And here’s what you can do differently today, right this moment, to ensure a perfectly rewarding outcome!

(1) Admit you want it, that’s right, the whole enchilada! There’s a reason why you are dreaming that dream. This is your decision point. Will you allow yourself to have it?

(2) Ask yourself why do I want this? Then create a list of personal benefits behind your goal. If you don’t allow yourself to enjoy the powerful perks, you won’t have any reason to keep going as you encounter the inevitable stepping stones and challenges.

(3) If you’re tempted to forgo decisions that will help you align with your goal, stop and refer to your higher purpose, your reasons for wanting something better! Then ask yourself… is my reason for procrastinating, repeating what’s comfortable, eating that donut etc. … more important than _______________ (see your list of personal benefits from step 2)?

Give yourself a compelling enough reason for aligning with your goals, and you  will!

(4) If you don’t believe that you can receive it, don’t stay there! Make a commitment to yourself that you’ll care enough about what you truly want, that you’ll align with empowering perspectives and positive actions. You are worth it, right? You don’t even have to align 100% of the time; 51% will be enough to tip the scale from doubt to growing confidence… and soon you’ll be in full-fledged
certainty!

Never give up, never surrender!

Your partner and friend in growing confidence,

P.S. Let this message allow you to see how ready, willing and capable you truly are. For you are the one and only you, enough to stop the presses and put the universe on notice, that you’re ready to receive what you’ve worked so hard to achieve! And so it is!
