Give Yourself a Get Out of Jail Free Card

WORD COUNT: 450 Short, Yet Liberating Words
TIME to FREEDOM: * Less than 2 MINUTES *
Money alone will not motivate for long. Certainly, we’d like and appreciate more, but without looking at what also feeds the spirit, money alone is meaningless.
To feed the spirit as well as the bottom line is profits with purpose. And the spirit is fed by allowing yourself to be who you truly are.
Who you are is revealed in daily discovery. Through life experiences, we uncover who and what we are.
For in living, we:
develop unique preferences
make choices
observe the results
and form beliefs.
We know that fear of being different, or fear of failing, succeeding, or not being good enough, may arise. For we have all experienced that uncertainty, when we stretch beyond our comfort zone.
Perhaps “anxiety is the dizziness of freedom”, as Kierkegaard said. But anxiety may also be the “price” for freedom, that is, the freedom to be the master of our own individual destinies.
So if we choose to let our respective lights shine in all their glory, then we must also understand, that to follow the heart, requires us to move forward, despite the anxiety.
Perhaps the biggest crime against life and individuality is … not allowing yourself to be who you truly are. Maybe that’s why there’s so much Prozac prescribed, and people who lose themselves in consumerism? Are people desperately looking for meaning in all the wrong places? It certainly looks that way, doesn’t it?
When we deny the Higher Self by not following our inner promptings, and when we allow doubt, procrastination, and excuses of any type, to keep us trapped in a false sense of “safety” … when we “play it safe”, we put ourselves into self-created prisons.
This is what despair, boredom, and giving up is …denying or not taking the time to decide what you really want.
BUT THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE. For you can take a small step forward, and then another, and then another… until you are living in harmony with your Higher Self.
This can be as simple as picking up a book when prompted, making a phone call when you’re inspired to call someone, or jumping in and taking action when you “just know” that the timing is right.
What’s the bottom line?
Resist the temptation to STOP and analyze your inner guidance.
Don’t allow yourself to be sidetracked by thoughts of …maybe I should wait… what if this doesn’t work or …I can do this tomorrow.
Instead, take a step forward in playful anticipation.
For life is a playground of infinite possibilities. You decide what you want. Then play with your ideas, and let them take shape, as you imagine and refine them.
Let life be your canvas, rather than a job.
