Freedom to Be You and Me

October 27th, 2008

WORD COUNT:  517 Short, yet oh so Empowering Words

TIME to TRUE LIBERTY: * About 2 MINUTES *

We can’t control what others think, do or say, nor would we want to. For it is the diversity in thoughts and ideas, that make the world such an interesting and clarifying place.

It is diversity that drives the expansion of the universe, as new ideas become new things and experiences.

And it is the diversity that helps each of us in our own unique way, clarify what we want to believe, do or experience. It is the diversity in preferences that allows each of us to answer the question, who am I?

For living in contrast, allows you to discover who you are, and who you want to become.

The more we live, the more we’re able to define who we are as individuals. And the more we know ourselves, the better we understand our place in the world.

One goldmine of self discovery lies in our reactions to people, opinions and circumstances. For how we feel, reveals much!

Do you want to better understand your purpose, and what is holding you back from what you seek?

The answers lie in your reactions to what’s around you. (We just need to remember to observe and learn, instead of getting caught in habitual reactions.)

For example, if you feel anger at another person’s opinion, that’s an indicator that you’re pointed in a counterproductive direction. For pushing against another, only feeds the energy of what you oppose.

Anger also tells you, that you may be attached to being right, and so think you need to defend what you believe. Yet, doesn’t every idea and opinion have a right to exist? Does someone else have to be wrong, in order for another to be right?

We can each choose to feel secure in our own truth, while allowing others that same prerogative.

Now if you feel enthusiasm, you’ve discovered a thought or idea that’s aligned with who you really are. For enthusiasm is a signal that you’re divinely inspired!  So play with that idea and allow it to take you to new and exciting places.

And if you take someone’s comments personally, you may believe that another’s opinion is more important than your own. And when it comes to what’s best for you, who would know better than you?

So perhaps a more empowering approach... is to believe that we don’t have to agree or disagree, just because an opinion or thought is expressed.  We can choose to observe our reactions, and the world around us, form our own unique preferences, and then let the
other stuff go.

For what is more empowering, than embracing TRUE FREEDOM?

And you are truly free, when you’re no longer tied to the opinions of others.

This is how you are able to stand boldly in our own light. This is how you let your unique light shine as brightly as it can.

Let go of the importance of the opinions of others.

For you are who you are, and they are who they are. Revel in the diversity. Love who you are, and love others too for being who they are.

Your friend and partner in liberating realities,
