IF YOU’RE STRUGGLING … if what you’re doing is not bringing you joy, new discoveries or contentment in the present moment … it is because you are doing too much and trying too hard.
The remedy is simple.
PAUSE. Check in. You’ll probably find you were focused on “Have Tos” or the next “Should” on the list. When we’re not mindful of how we feel, it’s easy to become burdened, rather than seeing our choices as opportunities to add real value.
SHIFT YOUR FOCUS. Breathe deeply and release tension. Then find something, anything no matter how small, that gives you pleasure.
It can be something as SIMPLE as … a better feeling thought, gazing out your window, a deep stretch, short walk, a favorite memory, smiling at the next person you see, calling a friend,
petting your dog or watching your cat assessing you with a sly smile as he wonders what all of the fuss is about.
For nothing is more important than you feeling good and enjoying the journey.
It takes just a minute to release stress and receive more joy. All you need do, is be mindful of how you feel.
Simple, yet powerful.
