TIME to APPRECIATE : * About 1 1/2 MINUTES *
The timeless and sage advice from ages past, offers profound insights for more joyous living.
Yet it’s easy to lose the message, if we overanalyze their meaning.
To “count your blessings” offers a clear example. When we fully embrace the meaning from the heart, rather than the head, we recognize the transformative power of appreciation.
To appreciate is to enjoy, honor, respect and admire. So the basis of appreciation brings forth more happiness, greater ease and ever-expanding prosperity. For you increase the essence of whatever you focus upon in your experience.
In other words, if you think more about the things that aren’t working by complaining about them, you invite more of that in.
But as you spend more time being thankful for what you already have, you naturally allow more goodness into your life. So in effect, when you count your blessings, you hit the jackpot. You enjoy the journey AND attract more favorable experiences to you.
Appreciating the small things, connects you with the wonder of life. For there’s infinite beauty to be found in nature, work, relationships, pets, and the seemingly insignificant experiences of everyday life. When was the last time you admired your surroundings while driving, or paused to thank your partner, or a close friend for being there for you?
As we hurry from place to place, and activity to activity, we too often forget that this is life! When we’re hurried or distracted, we can miss the beauty that’s all around us. In doing so, we also undermine our capacity to attract more of the good things we desire.
When we overanalyze, we can misinterpret “counting your blessings”, to mean that we should learn to live with what we ave, and not desire better relationships, circumstances or things.
This type of thinking comes from the mental level and goes against the very nature of the universe. Our world is always expanding. So doesn’t it make sense that we are meant to enjoy its abundance?
We are designed to succeed. Life is meant to give us experiences that cause us to want more, be greater and to give with an open heart.
To be in harmony with joyful and prosperous living, listen with the wisdom of your heart… and if you feel like it, applaud the view!
Your friend and partner in singing your praises,
