Choices, Perspectives and Real Freedom
November 17th, 2008WORD COUNT: 122 Short, Yet Mindful Words
TIME to FOCUS: * About 1/2 MINUTE *
Refuse to be affected by the moods of others. For attitudes are individual choices. And allowing yourself to be troubled by someone’s words, deeds or perspective, serves no one.
Getting caught in drama, sympathy, or anger will not help another, and it will not help you, regardless of the circumstances.
Certainly offer a smile, compassionate thought, or a kind word if you desire. But the way another responds to the world, is their choice to make. And we all have the freedom to choose the way we view life. This is free will.
So direct the tone of your experiences as you desire, and allow others to do the same. For it is not your job to make someone else feel better, and even if you wanted to, you can’t choose for them. Like you, they must do that for themselves.
You have the ability to choose how you feel, because you can find a better perspective, whenever you decide to do so.
Be confident in your ability to stand in your own truth, unaffected by the opinions, moods and reactions of others. For you are whatever you believe yourself to be.
