Aligning with More of What You Love

We know that it’s the little choices we make every day that create our reality at home, in relationships, at work and at play. This may seem obvious, yet most people spend a good part of their day on autopilot, living out of habit, caught in a routine and reacting instead of consciously deciding.
So often our decisions are not aligned with what we really want because:
a. we haven’t invested the time to consciously explore and set a clear target or
b. we’re unintentionally allowing circumstances, savvy marketers, or someone else’s dream to determine our direction and how we want to live our life and…
c. we’re so busy reacting and responding that we are no longer in the driver’s seat!
When we’re on autopilot, we give away our personal power. But you have within you the ability to be a conscious creator, one who allows her sacred dreams to fly by aligning her energy with what she wants. So tap into that and know that nothing can hinder your ability to align with a life you love!
To grow requires us to step out of habitual thinking and unintentional activities that no longer support our vision of what we want to be, do or experience. And we take a giant leap forward when we become more mindful of the little choices. That is … how we start the day, where we focus the majority of our attention, whether we choose to focus more on problems or solutions, what we want or what we don’t want, on experiences that lift us up, or thoughts that tear us down.
To move beyond habits that no longer serve you, requires a different map! And building a better map, will help you make better choices. Good choices are aligned with what you truly want, and make the best use of your precious resources which include your energy, thoughts, feelings, actions, time, and money as well as your imagination and intuition.
MISSION POSSIBLE!
~So your mission today, should you choose to accept it, is to observe your current reality and build a better map to align with your unique definition of success! ~
Here’s how!
1) Notice What’s Working! Start by taking an inventory of everything you LOVE about your current personal and professional reality. Write down all of the aspects about your self, relationships, things, events, gifts and talents that you thoroughly appreciate and enjoy.
2) Notice What’s Not Yet Working. Next notice what is not working as well as you’d like, and write that down too. What aspects about your personal and professional world would you like to improve?
3) Cause and Reflect. Consider that your thoughts and actions are always a perfect match for what you create, without exception. This is true in step 1 for the gifts, talents, relationships, events, circumstances, and things you love and appreciate … and this is also true for conditions that aren’t yet where you’d like them to be. It’s the same process. The only difference are the thoughts you have about each subject. Your beliefs led to the choices which created both the wanted and unwanted conditions. But when you change the cause, you create different conditions! So let’s create a map that will help you align with what you truly want. We’ll do that next.
4) Create Your List of Shifts. Next, look at the list from step 2 and rewrite it as you’d like it to be using a separate piece of paper. As you’re writing, feel that what you desire is already done. Leave some space between each item. Enjoy this journey, for you are creating the template for what you want to expand in your experience!
5) Create Your New Agreements. Now for each shift you’d like to make in your reality, write down what you must believe to support that shift, and what you will do differently to align your energy with your new improved reality. Keep this simple, and don’t overdo the doing part. You energy is better spent aligning first with right thought, because right thought will always lead you to right action!
6) Prioritize. Pick 1 to 3 shifts to focus on first and circle them. Choose the shifts that will help you most from where you currently are.
7) Print your “List of Shifts” and keep it with you. Use it whenever you make decisions, plan or create strategies.
Set your intention to glide gracefully between what is and isn’t wanted. Spend more time appreciating what you like and envisioning your life as you’d like it to be … than focusing on what’s wrong with your world.
Allow your vision of a more fulfilling reality guide you in your daily choices. Anytime you find yourself focusing on what’s not yet working, be thankful for your creative abilities, and let that guide you to greater clarity and understanding of what you want to expand in your experience. Then go there!
We’ll never take away the unwanted and we really wouldn’t want to. For having infinite choices is what makes the journey the adventure that it is! Without choice, we could not be creators, we’d only be receivers with no power over the course of our own lives.
Both the wanted and unwanted are truly empowering aspects of the human journey. And the stuff we don’t like isn’t bad, it just a possibility from an infinite smorgasbord of probabilities from which we can choose.
So the entire process could be summed up as:
DECIDE … BE … PLAN then… DO joyfully!
And so it is!
