24KT marketing is pure GOLD because it’s all about building relationships and letting your unique light shine as brightly as it can. So one of the most important things you can do to grow your business AND nurture your soul, is to create a list of people you’d like to get to know.
Most business owners maintain a list of their customers, but I’ve found that very few have a 24KT contact list. Here’s what I mean; you have a great product and wonderful service, but how do you attract more ideal customers without coming across as pushy and resorting to hard-sell tactics that leave you feeling drained and uneasy?
Simple – you start by creating a list of people who would also benefit from getting to know you. Start by reviewing your IDEAL CUSTOMER profile. This describes those who are a perfect fit for you and your business. Who are your ideal customers doing business with before, during or after they seek out or use your products and services? What do they read? What radio programs do they listen to? Which web sites do they visit? What online or offline groups and associations do they belong to? All of these questions are extremely valuable, because they point you in the direction of potential partnerships and connections that are mutually rewarding.
So here’s what you could include in your 24KT Contact List. These are naturally symbiotic relationships with people who can help one another grow. They have common interest, concerns and passions.
So considering your Ideal Customer, create a list that includes:

Media contacts at trade publications in your ideal market

Radio programs (online, satellite or traditional)

Talk show hosts

Program Directors

Newspaper, cable or television reporters

Ezine/Online magazine publishers who serve your ideal customers

Writers, experts and speakers who solve a problem for your ideal customers

Web site or print directories

Social networking sites who serve your ideal customer

Community bulletin boards and event calendar coordinators

Business owners who sell complimentary products

Suppliers and distributors in your ideal market

Associations who count your ideal customers as members

Super affiliates (commission based sales people)

Current customers

Your warm market (These are people who know you - friends, family, current partners who can connect you with others.)
