We talk a lot about authentic messages and ideal customers when we discuss 24KT Marketing®.
Yet here’s a truth that requires much thought and reflection for many conscious business owners and that is – MONEY MATTERS.
For the purpose of your business is to feed your spirit, as well as your bottom line!
But many people are uncomfortable with the subject of money. The biggest challenge for many entrepreneurs, especially women and new business owners, lies in aligning Right Thought AND Right Action with their sales goals.
Money does matter. Without it, you can not remain in business, let alone thrive. Without a healthy bottom line, you can’t share your unique gifts and talents, or serve those who desire your products and services.
Think of your revenue as an exchange of energy. You receive something in return for the valuable services you provide. This is a fair and balanced way to help yourself and others.
I have found from working with business owners, that money is rarely the real problem. Chances are you’re probably very comfortable spending it, and appreciate all of the experiences and things that you can get with your money.
The real issues tend to be related to attracting and actively managing it.
But you can dissolve revenue challenges by starting with an honest examination of your personal attitudes and habits around money.
This is the first empowering step toward real financial freedom.
So, let’s look at some core issues that can keep you from realizing your greatest goals and dreams.
Which of these dislikes or areas of discomfort are keeping you apart from the profitability you truly desire?
1. It’s the math, it makes your eyes glaze over.
2. Avoidance, you wish the finances would just take care of themselves.
3. Marketing and sales activities make you feel uncomfortable.
4. You’re afraid of making a mistake.
5. Everything has to be perfect first before you act. So if you take one more class or read another book, everything will come together.
6. Failure to plan – goals, what financial goals?
7. You give away your personal responsibility (and therefore power) around all things financial.
8. You have revenue goals but don’t connect them to your daily activities.
9. Disempowering thoughts such as “I’ll deal with managing and saving money when I get more of it”.
10. Lack of support. You don’t know who to turn to, or are too embarrassed to ask for help.
An honest review of your attitudes and actions is the first positive step toward all that you desire and more. Print out this list and highlight what areas require your attention.
Then make a commitment to reclaim your personal power now! Don’t go into self-criticism for that will not help you.
The reality is most people remain in poverty consciousness simply because they don’t want to invest the time to honesty assess their attitudes and actions around money.
We live in a consumer culture where instant gratification is touted as a birthright. Also, for many of us, our parents didn’t teach us about money matters. Their parent’s didn’t teach them, and they were probably uncomfortable or not capable of helping others.
So, be kind to yourself, but take responsibility for breaking the cycle of unconsciousness about money matters. For you can be, do or have whatever you desire, but first you must believe that you can.
Your friend and partner in creating a more empowering reality,
P.S. Look for more messages in the upcoming weeks to help you
with “money matters”.
